Neville 'Nev' Wright
Senior Grade 1 Instructor

Neville has over 4,000 helicopter hours.

Nev trained with PHS in 1997 to CPL standard, before taking on a job as a tourism pilot at the Great Ocean Road. In 2004, he achieved his instructor rating at PHS and became a fulltime teacher and allround good guy. With his wealth of knowledge and experience along with his relaxed personality, Nev is well liked among the students.

Sam Wilson
Senior Grade 1 Instructor

Sam has over 3,500 helicopter hours.

Sam's background is planks, he trained to fixed wing PPL standard in the 80's. In 1997 though, he came to his senses and got his CPL helicopter licence. After a stint in the NT at Ayers Rock, he moved to the UAE in 2004 and worked as an instructor before coming back to PHS to pass on war stories from the desert state.

Luc Beaurain
Grade 2 Instructor

Luc has over 2,000 helicopter hours. He became a commercial helicopter pilot in 2005, and spent a good 2 years at Ayers Rock. A very good stick jockey, he enjoys passing on his skills to the students.

Tom Graham
Grade 2 Instructor

Tom has over 1,500 helicopter hours. He trained with PHS in 2005 and like Nev, he spent a good 12 months at the Great Ocean Road as a helicopter pilot/tour guide/office bum, before returning to PHS to become an instructor.

Glen Morey
Grade 2 Instructor

Glen has over 3,000 helicopter hours. He trained with PHS when Melbourne still had horse drawn trams (or around that time...). He then moved to the NT and managed the PHS base at Ayers Rock for 6 years, before returning to Melbourne and achieving his Instructor Rating in 2008.

Cathy Luck
Grade 2 Instructor

Cathy has over 1,000 helicopter hours. After the initial training to CPL standard in 2006 she moved to Ayers Rock to manage the PHS base as well as flying visitors around the well known monuments. Her enthusiasm, professionalism and outgoing personality make her an exceptional instructor - she is well liked among students and colleagues.

Andrew 'Andy' Pollard
Grade 1 Instructor
Gold Coast Base Manager

Andy has over 2,500 helicopter hours. Andy trained to PPL standard in the UK, before packing up kith and kin to move to Oz. He got his CPL with PHS in 2004, worked at Ayers Rock for 18 months and is now the Senior Grade 1 Instructor and Manager at our Gold Coast base. A dedicated father to his son Lewis, he's often seen driving around the pram as well as his beloved Honda CRX he imported with him from the UK.

Will Smith
Grade 1 Instructor

Will (also called Bill to avoid confusion) has over 2,000 helicopter hours. Having trained with PHS in 2005 he spent a few years at Ayers Rock driving around JetRangers and Harleys, before moving back to Cooly to become an instructor. With his relaxed view on life and his very friendly personality, he's often seen with a big smirk on his face.

Simon 'Simmo' Blythe
Grade 2 Instructor

Simon has over 2,000 helicopter hours. He trained with PHS in 2004, and after fixing all of PHS's cars (a very good car mechanic!) he moved to Ayers Rock to learn the ropes as a charter pilot and TV star (and fix buses). Back in Cooly now, he loves to pass on campfire stories and the skills to become a pilot. A Coca-Cola addict and well liked among students because of his bubbly personality. - He still fixes cars too!
