We are registered in the Australian Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses as 'CRICOS Provider Number 00802K'
In addition to the information contained in our PILOT TRAINING pages, the following information applies to Students enrolling from Overseas who need a Visa to enable them to stay in Australia for the purpose of learning to fly a helicopter.
The Visa requirements differ between Countries but the basic criteria remains the same. Our course is conducted in English, therefore to meet the entry requirements to Australia, and to our school, your verbal and written English skills must be of a legally acceptable standard. I have listed below the information we need in order for us to be allowed to offer you a position in our school. We can send you an application for admission by e-mail, fax or post. This form is not an acceptance on our part or a commitment on your part.
- You must provide us with proof of your English proficiency. This can
be either
- proof of completing an approved English course OR
- your score in an officially recognised English Proficiency Test (IELTS). Contact the Australian Embassy closest to you to see if you can do this test in your Country, otherwise you will have to do a course in Australia (we can supply you with information regarding courses if required)
- You will need to have a medical examination by a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner. Contact the Australian embassy to see if there is an approved Doctor in your country. If this is not possible, we recommend that you have a medical examination that includes an ECG, eyesight, hearing and general health check in your country prior to applying for your Visa.
- We do not require a deposit or payment in advance but we are required to have proof of your ability to pay for the course and your living expenses whilst in Australia before we are allowed to accept you as a Student.
We do not accept payment in advance from Overseas Students and therefore the discount for payment in advance is not available.
Because of the requirements for overseas students the full fee of $2,500 for the theory course is applicable.
